It's something I can't explain, but like Blue, it doesn't stick out as much to me for some reason.ĭon't Tread On Me, and please don't hate me, but I seriously it's super underrated. Don't really have much to say, I just really love it.Įvolver is a great album, but for some reason, it's not quite as memorable to me.
It just hits all those right beats for me that makes it my 10/10 311 album.įrom Chaos is just such a good time all around. I mean I love pretty much all the songs on it, but even still, 21 songs is a really long time for one project for me, at least for 311. The only thing that holds it back, in my opinion, is just how freaking long it is. That opener is just so kickass, and the whole experience ranges from such a rocking time to super relaxing. I'm not sure what it is, just doesn't stick with me like Grassroots does, but still great regardless. The Blue Album is great, but it doesn't stand out as much to me. It just has that sound that so nicely mixes all the different styles of the band. Grassroots is easily my favorite among the first three. It feels like a first album, like the band is still finding their sound, and that's still great, just not particularly what I'm most into with 311. It's just that in the grand scheme of things I'm not going to choose this first when compared to the rest. Music is not bad by any means, don't take that lower score to think that I have negative feelings towards. I just enjoy them quite a bit and I can easily go back to them time and time again. It probably looks pretty heretical to you to see DTOM or Uplifter ranked up there with The Blue Album and Grassroots, but it's honestly how I feel in regards to these albums. You'll probably notice that's there's not really any negative scores up there, and in fact, the lowest score would still be considered good, and that's because I don't actually dislike any of the albums.
I didn't grow up with 311 and only became a fan when Universal Pulse came out, so just putting that out there.
Plus I have very different opinions on certain albums than most people here. 311 product purchase required for event participation. Why am I posting this?
